Beautiful sunshine was the backdrop to our last full day in Wales. One group went extreme orienteering then off to abseiling, while the other two groups went into the slate mine for a 'pitch black' experience followed by an amazing gorge walk, which Mrs Balmforth claimed was 'The best thing I've ever done!'. Meanwhile Aston and Harley went on an adventure to the beach: crabbing, eating ice cream and sampling the arcades. We finished the day around the campfire, sharing the best bits of our week, followed by marshmallow toasting and an impromptu sing along. We'll miss you Wales!
After a very sleepy start we have had another fun filled day in Wales! One group went rock climbing, followed by a walk along the coast and a splash in the sea. The other two groups went orienteering around Cader Idris Nature Reserve followed by abseiling in a disused quarry in the afternoon. To round the day off, we played a game of rounders!
Another great day here in Wales, with one group heading off to the slate mine followed by a very wet gorge scramble. The other two groups both had a go at rock climbing and a scenic coast walk across the longest wooden railway bridge in Europe. The days excitement ended with a fabulous Superstars competition, lots of silly fun with water balloons, crackers and cups...
A beautiful sunny day, lunch stop at the picturesque Powis Castle, arrival at the centre followed by getting 'kitted' up, then dinner and a lake walk, which was more wet than dry! A great first day....
