A group of LKS2 children travelled to Bramcote College to take part in an orienteering event. The children were taught the basic skills to interpret and read a map of the school grounds and once they had practised, they were set off to find and 'punch' markers at each point. The children took part brilliantly, behaved wonderfully and had a fantastic time, well done everybody!
On Thursday 27th February, a team of 18 Key Stage 2 swimmers went to Kimberley Leisure Centre to compete in the annual district swimming gala. The team performed exceptionally well and finished third in the large schools competition. Within the team there were of course some great individual performances. Both Charlie and Gracie won their individual races and many children came incredibly close too. Well done to the whole team, you performed and behaved superbly throughout the whole morning!
On Thursday 6th February, a team of 8 children traveled to George Spencer Academy for an indoor rowing competition. All of the children performed excellently both in individual events and in the long, grueling team event where in 8 minutes the children managed to row over a mile! We did amazingly well out of sixteen team to finish second and only 49 meters behind the eventual winners. The team did amazingly well, congratulations to all of you!

Eight boys from KS1 took part in a Dodgeball competition at Gilthill School. The boys, some of whom had never played a match before, did extremely well and were just pipped to first place by a few points! Well done boys, you did Awsworth proud.
