On a chilly Wednesday morning, a team of 24 children travelled to Hall Park Secondary School to take part, along with 13 other schools, in the district cross country competition. The entire team performed with positive, resilient and determined attitudes and many children performed better than they had initially hoped.
Over a long, undulating course of just over a mile, teams earned points for individuals' finishing positions. In the individual competitions, we had many children finish in the top 10 (out of more then 80 children) in their individual races: Logan (3rd), Kyran (7th) and Jessica (8th) all managing this impressive feat.
In the team competitions, all teams performed well but special mention goes to the Year 5 girls team who finished 2nd and the Year 6 boys team who finished a remarkable 1st!
The behaviour and attitude shown by all children was excellent throughout the morning and I look forward to seeing these children continue to represent the school again in the future.
