Itβs safe to say that over the week we've definitely worn them out!
Isle of Wight 2018 - Day 5
Our last day - it was up early and off to the boat for the crossing back to Portsmouth and a tour of the naval dockyard. Then off to the Mary Rose museum for a fascinating look at this amazing ship and the artefacts discovered. A final chance to grab some souvenirs and an ice cream before getting back on the bus for the final part of our journey back to Nottingham- see you all soon.
Isle of Wight 2018 - Day 4
Day 4 took us on a walk across Tennyson Down to the Needles Battery where we learnt about the lives of the soldiers who worked at the battery, how the gunpowder was stored and how to prepare a cannon for firing. After that we walked over to Alum Bay were we took the chairlift down to their beach before going on a cruise to see the Needles. Then it was back up to Alum Bay for some shopping before heading home to the hotel for dinner and a disco. Another great day!
Isle of Wight 2018 - Day 3
Day 3 started off with a trip to Amazon World where we saw some weird and wonderful creatures. The Lemurs took a liking to one member of our group! Then it was off to Osbourne House for some lunch and a tour of the house and Swiss Cottage before a walk down to the beach and an ice cream. Our evening entertainment took us to the Superbowl for a fun and not at all competitive game of bowling - the MW stands for Mrs Watson by the way π.
Isle of Wight 2018 - Day 2
Day two took us to Carisbrooke Castle where we climbed the keep and walked along the battlements, taking in the amazing views of the island. After visiting the resident donkeys, and the gift shop, we travelled to Shanklin where we had a picnic lunch on the beach. After wrestling into our wetsuits we took on the powerful waves on our body boards, it was great fun!
Isle of Wight 2018 - Day 1
A great first day - after a long and hot bus ride, we finally arrived at the Bluereef Sealife centre where we explored the exhibits and had a talk where we were introduced to some sea creatures. After that it was off to the ferry for a beautiful, breezy crossing to the Isle of Wight. We settled into our hotel and had dinner before heading down to the beach for a spot of 'paddling'. Back at the hotel for diary writing and a drink before lights out and a good night's sleep (well we can always hope π).
