Despite the cold weather, children in key stage one had a lovely time dressed as Victorians on their visit to Newstead Abbey this Christmas. We took part in fun games and activities with Mr Webb in the main hall, made fragrant bags with Holt, watched a shadow puppet show with Crusher in the nursery and made sugar mice with the Cook in the main kitchen. We ended an amazing day by singing ‘Away in a Manger’ around the Christmas tree! All children were extremely well behaved and a credit to Awsworth Primary School.
