Sycamore Class 2021 - 2022
We have had great fun learning about Victorian Childhood over this term. The children practised learning by rote, copying lines in handwriting script and playing some traditional games. Unfortunately those that weren't on their best behaviour ended up in the dunce's hat in the corner (all acting of course)!
Wow we’ve had a great first half term and the highlight has definitely been our global food topic, we have looked at what makes a healthy balanced diet then made and tried Spring Rolls, Pakoras, Sushi and Salsa. We didn’t all like everything we tried but the children have loved the processes and trying different foods. Overall the salsa got the vote the most votes for the best recipe!

Portraits
This half term our artwork has centred around portraits by different artists. The children have learnt about their different styles and had a go at creating their own portraits in the style of.... the question is, can you work out which member of Sycamore class featured in each portrait?
Electricity!
Our science and DT this half term have focused on electricity. We have learnt all about circuits and devised experiments to test our ideas. We have have used all of our knowledge and skills to make a fabulous flashlight and were amazed by the power of lemons in our lemon battery experiment! Check out the photos below!
